"James Hankinson & wife to Jonathan Kimble Deed
This Indenture made this fourteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eigth hundred and thirty nine by and between James Hankinson and Mary Hankinson his wife of the County of Hocking in the State of Ohio of the one part and Jonathan Kimble of the County of Hocking and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said James Hankinson and Mary Hankinson his wife for and in consideration of the Just sum of thirty Dollards to them in hand paid the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge have given granted bargained sold released conveyed and do by these present give grant bargain sell release convey and confirm unto the said Jonathan Kimble his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate and being in the County of Hocking State of Ohio the above tract being a part of the South East quarter of section four Township Thirteen Range Seventeen in the East side bounded as follows commencing at a stone on the South West side of Jonathan Kimbles field running North one half East Ten chains and Eighteen links to a stone, thence South 65 West eight chains forty links to a stone, thence South 25 1/2 East Nine chains 31 links to the place of beginning the above to contain four acres to have and to hold the premises aforesaid with all the privileges and [?]appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anyway appertaining unto the said Jonathan Kimble and unto his heirs and assigns forever. And the said James Hankinson and Mary Hankinson his wife for themselves and for their heirs executors and administrators covenant and promise to and with the said Jonathan Kimble his heirs and assigns that they the said James Hankinson and Mary Hankinson his wife are lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid that they have good right and lawful authority to sell and convey the same in manner aforesaid and that the premises are free and clear of and from all incumbrance whatever. And further that they the said James Hankinson and Mary Hankinson his wife will well and truly warrant and forever defend the premises herein and hereby granted unto the said Jonathan Kimble and unto his heirs and assigns against all lawful claims and demands of all and every person whomsoever. In testimony whereof the said James Hankinson and Mary Hankinson his wife party of the first part have here Signed, Sealed and delivered

On the fourteenth day of February AD 1839 before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace within and for the said County personally the said James Hankenson and Mary his wife who signed and sealed the foregoing deed and acknowledged the the signing and sealing thereof ro be their act and deed for the purposes therein expressed. And the said Mary wife of the said James Hankenson being by me examined seperate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the said deed being fully made known to her by reading the same in her presence she did declare upon such seperate examination that she did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied there with
