"Henry Iles & Wife to Jonathan Kimble Deed
This indenture made this Sixteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight between Henry Iles and Rebecca his wife of the County of Hocking and State of Ohio of the one part And Jonathan Kimble of the County of Hocking and State of Ohio of the other part witnesseth that the said Henry Iles & Rebecca his said wife for and in consideration of the sum of Fifteen Dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof they hereby acknowledge and forever acquit and discharge the said Jonathan Kimble his heirs executors and administrators have granted bargained sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien [?] off convey and confirm unto the said Jonathan Kimble his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Hocking and State of Ohio and known and distinguished by being lot No 14 lot No 15 lying and being in the Town of Ilesborough laid out on the North half of the West half of the North West quarter in section No 22 Township No 13 Range No 17 sold on the sixteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight. Together with all the improvements and appurtenances whatsoever to the said premises belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions remainders and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand of them the said Henry Iles and Rebecca his said wife of in and to the same: to have and to hold the lands hereby conveyed with all and singular the premises and every part and parcel thereof with every of the appurtenances unto the said Jonathan Kimble his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Henry Iles and Rebecca his said wife and their heirs all the premises hereby bargained and sold with the appurtenances unto the said Jonathan Kimble his heirs and assigns against them the said Henry Iles and Rebecca his wife and their heirs and all and every other person or persons whomsoever do and will warant and forever defend these presents In testimony whereof they the said Henry Iles and Rebecca his wife have hereunto set their hands an seals the day and year above written

The State of Ohio Hocking County SS - Personally came before me Robert Watts one of the acting Justices of the Peace within and for said County of Hocking Henry Iles and Rebecca his wife the grantors of the above deed of conveyance and severally acknowledged the signing and sealing thereof to be their act and deed and designed for the full purposes therein mentioned and expressed and desired: that the same should be recorded as such according to law: and the said Rebecca wife of the said Henry Iles being by me examined seperate and apart from her said husband and having made known to her the contents of said deed of conveyance she did on such seperate examination declare that she did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set and subscribed my hand and seal this the sixteenth day of May AD 1838
